Knights of Columbus Council # 13037 Activities

From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are men of faith and men of action.  If you’d like to be a part of an international organization of 1.9 million Catholic men whose principal work involves helping others in need, we'd like to meet you and invite you to join us. 

Cumulative figures show that during the past decade, the Knights of Columbus has donated more than $1.5 billion to charity, and provided nearly 750 million hours of volunteer service in support of charitable initiatives. Below are a few activities our Council is involved with;

  1. Help with upkeep and cleaning of the parish grounds.
  2. Contribute to St. Francis High School and provide scholarships.
  3. Hold Memorial Mass' for Knights of Columbus Departed Brothers and their families.
  4. Provide Parish Fish Fry's on Fridays during Lent.
  5. Provide ushers and an Honor Guard for St. Madeleine and other major events.
  6. Support St. Madeleine Community Outreach, with man power and donating turkeys at Thanksgiving time. 
  7. Provide yearly Religious Appreciation Dinners.
  8. Providing financial support for seminarians & religious sisters, Pro-Life Committee.
  9. Providing manpower for our pastor as needed.
  10. St. Madeleine Bulletin Ad.
  11. St. Madeleine Capital Campaign.
  12. Host annual Picnic for Altar Servers and Youth group.
  13. Contribute to the Bloodmobile on a regular basis.
  14. Our Knights contribute to;Habitat for Humanity,AARP, the Lions Club,United Way, Wreaths Across America and on the Board of Bread of the Mighty.
  15. Our Fourth Degree Knights Assembly 1817 which our men run the annual golf tournament donate to a
    Woman's Answer and to the new Catholic sponsored Adoption center and several of our Knights will attend and support at the AWA Gala.
  16.  Our Knights serve as Ushers, Eucharistic ministers, Angels Of Mercy. Outreach volunteers ,funeral cemetery helpers, assist the shrine project built the new walk way.
  17. We honor our Veterans during holidays throughout the year and also invite them to a free fish fry luncheon in their honor at our Knight's pavilion.
  18. We provide men to help out at many of the Parish events and functions.
